Hallo, wäre jemand so nett?
He is a very successful fireman, so he becomes the chance for a higher position.
Based on his militaristic attitude he represents the opinion that the most efficient method to control people is violent.
For Jack the conch is meaningless, he sees it only as a hindrance by his intention to taking control over the others. Therefore the fragmentation of the conch shows the ending of democracy.
He is a very successful fireman, so he becomes the chance for a higher position.
He has pleasure to/by agony the boys.
He agitates the boys again Ralph – Wie kann ich sahen er hetzt die Knaben gegen Ralph auf?
The first three chapters are partly different to understand, because he use biological technical terms.
The authors language is very variety, because he uses irony, slogan, exaggerations, antithesis and contrast. Thereby the text seems to be very lively and amusing. With the help of dialogue the reader becomes an impression of the characters interaction and in what way they are thinking.
In Brave new World soma is more than a drug. It stands for the government manipulation, the unhappiness of the citizen and their escape from reality.
The novel ends very tragically. The protagonist commits suicide, because he can’t cope with the Brave new World philosophy. Because of this ending there isn’t any hope for a better world. The reader begins to think about it and realizes that in our world a lot of these bad tendencies are also current. Possibility he begins to question his life and our society, because he wants prevent that a similar world like BNW comes true.
Lord of the Flies is divided into twelve chapters. Most of them give the reader a precognition what will happen. For example the title Gift for the darkness is an allusion to the Lord of the Flies and Simone’s encounter. At the beginning of the novel you realize when a day ends and the next day begins. So the day is organized and well structured. But when they lose the connection to civilization and their being get out of control, the readers also lose the sense for time.
When he wants create tension, because something very important will happens the sentences get shorter and thereby also the reading speed.
The author lets us guess, that the island isn’t the paradise as the boys think. (Der Autor lässt uns erahnen)
The irony demonstrates
