Hallo
Och wäre sehr dankbar um Korrektur
Despite of this perfect process, it gives sometimes flaws. Helmholtz is too intelligent, what endanger the system, because he isn’t willing to adapt completely to the Brave new World way of live.
After a successful hunt, they mount the sow head on a stick as an offering for the beast.
Golding shows with Ralph, that everyone of us has this dark side inside. Although he is very kind, helpful und wants the beast for the group he also participates in the tribal dances and in the frenzy pig hunting.
He doesn’t belief Ralph and Jack, that it exists a beast on the mountain. Therefore he decides to climb on the mountain to make his own exploration.
Perhaps Ralph is too kind to the boys and radiates (ausstrahlen?) to less authority.
It’s ironical that they try to chase the beast, because the beast is a part of us and isn’t something tangible, what you can hunt.
Ralph struggles to maintain the boys focus on civilized order
Piggy adheres to the norm that he has learnt in his former live.
- Neither science nor common sense will save humanity from this brute power.
To hold the boys focus to civilized standarts. Kann man das sagen?
Mildred is a model citizen who never question her life and governments rule. All the day hi sits in front of her TV, sleep with an ear radio and like car speeding with the aim to run down people. Additionally he takes every day an overdoses of drugs. I think this illustrate her emptiness life, without any ambition or future plans. Although this isn’t entirely correct, because she wants a fourth TV wall, what also shows her way to life. In other word she is mental death and hasn’t references to reality. She is married with Montag but doesn’t sympathize in any form with him. She hasn’t able and willing to have a profound discussion with him. So she builds up a wall around her and let nobody to close.
Mustapha Mond is one of the ten World controllers and in charge of Western Europe. In his former life he wasn’t a model citizen. Because he was a scientist and strives to find the truth. The government doesn’t tolerate this behaviour, and he had to decide to carry on his scientist work with the consequence to be banished or to contribute to people happiness. (komisch?) Eventually he decided for the second option. Despite of this choice he hasn’t lost his interest in scientist. Therefore he sees it as an experiment when the savage comes to the BNW.
Er rückt in den Mittelpunkt in chapter 17, where he has a philosophy discussion with John. He explain him why religion, art, culture heritage is pointless in the BNW and that in the middle point of the state system stands the people happiness. But John can’t understand him, because he has a another view of life and claim the right to be a sinner, suffer from pain and to have close relationships.
They will retain/maintain the books content by memorizing them. (Geht das so?)
Both, Ralph and Piggy has a concept in their mind But they aren’t able to adapt it based on the incidents on the island. They still adhere to their concepts although they can’t explain the happening on the island with their ideas.
Vielen Dank
Gruss Dinker
